Charles was raised in Tennessee, earned two BS degrees in Business Administration at the University of Tennessee, and a JD from Memphis State Law School.  He has been practicing law since August 1970, and has over 30 years of experience doing administrative hearings before federal agencies.
After the application for disability benefits has been rejected by the Social Security Administration, and a hearing has been requested, he takes control of the appeal.  He interviews the applicant, helps the applicant and the staff obtain and present evidence, edits the pre-hearing brief, conducts a hearing before Administrative Law Judge, and writes a post-hearing brief on unsuccessful appeals.
