Hurricane Season is upon us for 2015 and according to NOAA this season will be relatively minimal for Florida in occurrences. However, many Floridians know that being prepared saves time, money and even lives. We have already experienced the summer storms with strong wind and fast lightning and those storms are cause enough for us to protect orurselves. We have compiled useful information for you this season including facts, updates, and tips for dealing with natural disasters.

In the past two decades we have seen substantial devastation across the country from these massive storms including fatalities. Now, many people are familiar with the term Wrongful Death but when it comes to Mother Nature there will be no lawsuits. So, the best bet is to look at how these deaths occur and interpret ways to avoid them. The most common risks associated with hurricanes are not the storms themselves but the environment you are in.

  • 12 inches of water will float your vehicle

Furthermore, the driving of others can be irrational and reckless since stress levels are elevated. There are many more risks to yourself and your family by leaving during or after a storm. The tree’s usually don’t crack and break until after the storm has subsided, even days later. During the high winds of storms trees can be ejected from the ground and spun across road ways causing major damage to homes and vehicles in its path. Power lines are incredibly dangerous when fallen or damaged-people have died from down lines. Many folks wade and paddle through their flooded roads and cannot see what lies beneath the water.
