As some of you may know, there are two different hip replacement products which have been recalled– 1.) ASR XL Acetabulor System and 2.) Depuy ASR Hip Resurfacing System. Now, if you are reading this, you may be pondering the thought that you have no idea what products were used for your hip replacement surgery. That is okay. If you are experiencing pain as a result of a hip replacement surgery, all you have to do is contact the surgeon or the surgery center of the hospital where you’ve had the surgery done. They will have the serial number and type of product used for your surgery on record. If one of the products listed above matches yours and you are experiencing one of the following:
- Hip, groin, leg, or low-back pain
- Having a hard time doing physical activities
- Audible clicking or crunching sounds in the hip area
- The feeling that the hip is “not in place” (especially when standing up)
Then give us a call here at the Brooks Law Group. All you have to do is get the Model, the Manufacturer, and the Serial or Item Number and we will do the rest.
