Inside Look By Brooks: “The Truck Crash Epidemic”

In 2016, more than 4,300 people were killed in accidents involving commercial trucks. As our technology has increased, our passenger cars have gotten safer and safer, yet our truck crashes continue to increase. What is causing this problem?

For decades now, the NHTSA has been slow to act when it comes to improving the safety standards of our country’s commercial trucking industry. Years of research with no results, while our death count continues to increase from years past.

We recommend our viewers consider reaching out to their local representative or government official to inquire why have we made little to no progress in truck safety over the past few decades.
