beach-brooks

Wedding bells are ringing yet again here at Brooks Law Group. Our newest attorney and my nephew, Beach Brooks III, has proposed to his girlfriend, Jordan.

In 2007, Beach Brooks III and Jordan met as athletes while attending college. Beach played baseball and Jordan played golf. They both were very driven in their sports and they found common ground in their busy schedules. Jordan sought Beach out at a house party one night because she had spotted him in the cafeteria weeks prior and knew she had to meet him. Beach tried his best to play it cool, but Jordan knew he was interested. After going out on a few dates, including introducing Beach to sushi, they easily became good friends. They dated for close to 3 years in college but unfortunately their athletic careers took them in different directions. The distance, along with being young, caused them to grow apart; it was a very rough time in both of their lives. Although they were apart for about 4 years, there was a strong friendship and support for one another that never seemed to diminish, even after all of the heartache and distance.

Fast forward through the years of individual growth, Jordan was living in Atlanta working as a Golf Teaching Professional at Atlanta Athletic Club. Beach was attending Stetson University College of Law in his second semester as a law student. They both were chasing after their own dreams while still knowing that one other very important thing was missing. Little did they know that as they began to catch up on lost time through a few friendly text messages, they would reconnect and begin to date again.

For the next year, Jordan and Beach continued a long distance relationship with Beach making many trips up I-75 North to visit her. Soon enough, Jordan decided to move to Tampa to be closer to Beach and they started building a life together. Through many sacrifices on both ends, it’s an amazing thing to see when two people are in it for the long haul.

Beach and Jordan are excited to announce their engagement and are ready for all of the ups and downs that life has to offer. They are appreciative to their parents for always supporting them and setting amazing examples of what two strong marriages look like. Stay tuned to see if Beach ever ends up beating Jordan in a game of golf!!

Congratulations to the both of you and welcome to the family, Jordan!
