It was reported on in the Tampa Bay Times that a 50-Year-Old man by the name of Darrell Gillis was out in the middle of Gandy Road in St. Petersburg on Monday just standing within the lanes and was hit by not only one, but three vehicles. The first driver stated that he tried to swerve to avoid hitting Gillis, but was too late. It was also stated that it was completely unavoidable for the other two vehicles to not hit this pedestrian.
You can only imagine how traumatic this experience was for the people involved. No other information was reported as to why this man was in the middle of the road in the first place.
